As the trial date looms and anti-missionary mandarin Alex Artovski, ex-Soviet police officer, takes the stand to answer for the riot he is accused of inciting against a Messianic Jewish Congregation in Beersheva, lets remind ourselves of the violent invasion of a place of worship.
Thank you for review. Have you any recent legal analysis. In particular:
1. Have you translations of the legal pleadings of both sides?
2. Have you summaries of recent testimony?
3. What are Israeli judicial pundits saying?
Any analysis, anyone?

I have said many times, whether legal or not, these tactics are counterproductive.
Ken, there is really no way of knowing which way this will go, Chief Rabbis in Israel carry a lot of clout (i.e. Daat Torah) and are highly respected, Artovski is only respected in anti-messianic circles though there are even some there who are unhappy with his kind of techniques. I’ve not seen any legal transcripts.
The last day in court is March 9. Howard Bass notes. “The second and last defendant, Alex Artovsky of Yad L’Achim organization, will testify. Following that the lawyers representing the three parties will give their closing arguments to the Judge Iddo Ruzin, who will then have up to one month to deliver his verdict in our civil case against Beer Sheva Chief Rabbi Yehudah Deri, and against Yad L’Achim.”
