Gingrich has caused people’s eyes to pick up read here as he stands by his statement.
Republican White House hopeful Michele Bachmann, meanwhile, joined Gingrich in saying she would move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, to which both Israel and Palestinians lay claim.
This is his consistent opinion as we see in 2006
Though talk of a slick politician.
Obama not slicker?
Newt already had my vote, but it’s great to see these clips. Don’t see why anyone would feel the need to call him “slick”, though, unless it’s a compliment. He’s, easily, the most intelligent candidate in the running. Though, as any adult knows full well, a certain amount of “slickness” is necessary in politics – you just hope that the politician has your interests at heart. It’s certainly a tactical advantage if “your guy” can accomplish the objectives you hold dear with efficiency, isn’t it? Everyone esteems a “slick” lawyer, athlete, etc, but when it comes to politics they’re supposed to be simpletons, apparently. Speaking of which, Obama was the worst thing that could’ve happened to us politically. Many already knew, but many more are finally seeing that. Of course, government, as long as it’s run by humans, will never be perfect, but can we at least get someone in there who is intelligent, experienced, understands foreign policy, won’t tax business to death to fuel myriad socialist programs, has an actual plan, and most importantly, loves America and supports Israel? I know people that qualified are rare, but we just might have one in Newt Gingrich.
To be honest, I think he’d still have my vote if the only thing I heard him say was that the “Palestinian” people were an invention. That requires an impressive mix of bravery and common sense – something most men lack today.
